The Retreat is in the Dordogne village of Le Coux in the Perigord Noir surrounded by beautiful villages and towns, chateaux, prehistoric sites, wonderful food and sporting activities.
The Retreat is on the edge of the village of Le Coux, which has an epicerie, boulangerie, wine cave, a lovely restaurant, a newsagents and Post Office.

We are 45 minutes from Bergerac airport. You can find flights from the UK to Bergerac with Ryanair from Stanstead and with Flybe from Bristol, Southampton and Belfast.
The nearest towns with all the usual facilities are St Cyprien 3km (Sunday market) and Le Bugue 6km (Tuesday market).
Very close by is the medieval village of Limeuil (one of France's most beautiful villages), overlooking the confluence of the Vezere and Dordogne rivers, which provides a lovely bathing spot.
The renaissance town of Sarlat is 30 minutes away. Perigueux, the capital of the region is 60 minutes drive.
